by Brock University

HAMILTON, Ont. - The Brock University women's soccer team ((3-8-2 OUA) dropped a 1-0 decision to the McMaster Marauders (7-4-1 OUA) Friday night in Hamilton.

Marauders senior midfielder Natalie Kollars (Burlington, Ont.) scored the lone goal of the game.

In net, Marauders sophomore Brittany Duffey (Markham, Ont.) earned the win with a shutout. Badgers freshman keeper Amber Cubitt (Georgetown, Ont.) played great but netted the loss.

The Badgers will play a must-win game, and their last regular season contest, on Wednesday October, 19 when they travel to Waterloo to play the Warriors (1-5-3 OUA).

Despite the loss, the Badgers still sit in a playoff position with 11 points, but they will need some help to stay ahead of Guelph who sits one point back with four games remaining, and Western who sits two points back with three games left.
