England and Watts named CUFLA All-Canadians

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - Brock University men's lacrosse players Craig England (Fergus, Ont.) and Cameron Watts (Oakville, Ont.) were both selected to the 2011 CUFLA West Division All-Canadian Team. Seniors Jordan Weedmark (Carleton Place, Ont.) and Mark Farthing (Peterborough, Ont.) both earned All-Canadian honourable mention.

England, a 2011 draft choice of the NLL's Colorado Mammoth, had his best season to date. In his third season with the Badgers, he finished fourth in Brock scoring adding 10 goals and eight assists for 18 points in 10 regular season games. In four postseason contests, the talented midfielder added nine points including five goals and four helpers.

In his rookie season, Watts was outstanding posting a 10-2 overall record. During the regular season he ranked among tops in the CUFLA West Division in three categories; including goals against average (7.46 GAA), minutes played (622:33) and wins (7).

Weedmark had his best season of his Brock career in 2011. In 14 games, including playoffs, he recorded his first 50-point season adding 31 goals and 22 assists for 53 points. During the regular season, he finished fifth in the CUFLA West Division in scoring adding a career best 37 points. In four seasons at Brock, Weedmark registered 93 career points adding 57 goals and 36 assists.

Farthing a solid five-year defender with BU once again led the Badgers strong defensive unit. As a long pole midfielder, Farthing was matched up against the opponent’s top offensive player each game.
