Brock men's lacrosse loses 12-9 to western

LONDON, Ont. - The Brock University men's lacrosse team (8-2 CUFLA) lost their last regular season game by a 12-9 score to the Western Mustangs during CUFLA West Division action Sunday afternoon in Loondon.

The Badgers led 3-2 after one quarter, but were outscored 3-0 by Western in the second quarter. Brock trailed 9-6 heading into the final quarter and scored two quick goals to make the score 9-8, but Western scored the next two and held on for the win.

Brock rookie Greg Davidson (Toronto, Ont.) had three goals. Steve Priolo (St. Catharines, Ont.) netted two goals and an assist while Jordan Weedmark (Carleton Place, Ont.) scored two goals. Craig England (Orangeville, Ont.) had one goal and one assist, Mike Bentivenga (Burlington, Ont.) also added a goal. Kyle Davis (Caledon, Ont.) contributed with three assists and Dustin Dunn (Peterborough, Ont.) had one assist.

The Western goalscorers were led by Brendan Chess and Dylan Ham with three goals each. Scott Watson had two goals. Kyle Childerhose, Reid Crombie, Gavin Moynaugh and Jordan Smith each netted a single goal.

Badgers freshman goaltender Cameron Watts (Oakville, Ont.) took the loss. Goaltender Perry Watt earned the win for Western.
