Brock men's lacrosse downs McGill 13-11, advances to CUFLA championship

LONDON, Ont. - The Brock University men's lacrosse team (8-2 overall, 2-0 post-season) downed the McGill Redmen 13-11 in the national semi-finals Saturday night. The Badgers now advance to the CUFLA championship game Sunday at 1pm at TD Waterhouse Stadium in London.

The Badgers once again had a balanced offensive attack with five multiple goal scorers.

Brock rookie Greg Davidson (Toronto, Ont.) and Craig England (Orangeville, Ont.) both contributed with three goals each. In two games this weekend, Davidson and England have combined for 13 goals.

Jordan Weedmark (Carleton Place, Ont.), Dustin Dunn (Peterborough, Ont.) and Kyle Davis (Caledon, Ont.) all contributed with two goals a piece while Steve Priolo (St. Catharines, Ont.) rounded out the Brock scoring with a single goal in the victory.

In goal, Brock rookie Cameron Watts (Oakville, Ont.) continued to impress turning aside 14 McGill shots for his ninth victory of the season.

With the victory, the Badgers now advance to the CUFLA championship game against the winner of Bishop's and Guelph in the other semi-final.

The University of Western Ontario is the host of the 2011 CUFLA Championships.
